what type of keyboard? i've never seen this bug and i'm running vista. i typically don't use internet exploder, so i'll try it out and see if this happens for me too.

A dell one. it came with my comp. it is wired and has buttons at the top with back, forward, exit, refresh, home, mail, somewith with a computer, and a calculator. It also has a music thing with a silver knob for volume.

It sounds like the international keyboard settings are being unintentionally turned on. Under XP, this could be done by hitting Left SHIFT + Left ALT (of course, it had to be enabled on the Control Panel as well). Anything like that in Vista?
