I'm thinking IP-bans are a more effective way of dealing with that.
Did you abuse-report the accounts that spammed about it?

I didn't at first; there were 199 of those accounts that have similarly-formated profile texts (has pricelists and links) and that I presumed were from a single source. I put a report on three of them.
