PS3= a hulking black collosus that while expensive is a sturdy and reliable, games focus on PG-13/R crowd.
Xbox360= a fairly expensive system that focuses on the harder-cored gaming crowd, and although cheaper than the PS3 is nowhere near as reliable, games focus on the R/M crowd.
Wii= cheap small and somewhat annoying (like a small yappy dog) great fun for the friends and family and its very reliable and simple to use, however the games tend to focus more around the PG range.
what you choose is up to preference.
im personally a PS3 fan.
