If "you" would be referring to the USA as I assume you are then here is the basic jist: Back in the days of the Cold War the USA pumped a lot of money and weapons into Afghanistan (sp?) to fight the USSR (specfically to Osma). Then, when the Cold War ended Osama used all the leftovers to put his radical Islamic group into power. This same group organized the Sept. 11th attack on the USA.
