Hopefully this won't have too many issues. I've tested the highscores and achievements (currently awaiting approval) and everything seems okay. If you have problems please let me know - and provide context. Just saying 'achievements don't work' is pretty much useless, since they worked for me (and I can't remove them to test again).

Also, Nonoba removes the mouse (right click) menu, so you can't pause, quit the game, or turn sounds/music off ingame. If you don't like that, vote up this feedback:

Acheivements didn't work for me. I dunno about context, but basically I got first in both cups and didn't get the exp or show up on the highscore list.

I got second once in both cups, but got first in the cup, if that helps.

Hmmm. It turned out that I didn't have the sunspot achievement either... And neither does Bluedragon.

The context I was asking for is really for what, if anything, is written at the top of the awards screen (with the pilots on the winners pedestal).

So I played through again and got the message saying 'Some error occurred at Nonoba - no achievement awarded' (at the top of the awards screen.) Since that's a message I put in, it looked like I'd made the mistake. But after reviewing the code it all seemed fine, so I played through again, and got the achievement that time through. I think it's Nonoba's servers being a bit flakey. It's kind of outside my control, I'm afraid.

Regarding highscores - you get those by playing tracks in timetrial mode - the cups arn't scored.

Okay, I've been trying to make sure that the highscores to function properly. Now you get a message telling you what's happened at the top of the screen for that, too.
(Your levels completed and best times will be lost unless you muck around with flash's local shared object files because of this.)

I now think it's working, its just that the scoretable takes a while to update.

Please do continue to comment if it isn't working for you - but do make sure you're racing in the right mode first! If the level select screen doesn't have 'leaderboard' buttons below the tracks, you're not racing timetrial mode, so no Nonoba highscores.
Conversely, if you're trying to get an achievement you need to complete the cup in standard mode and get first place (joint first should also be okay).

Like Teddy said, you have to beat the sunspot cup 2 times in order to get the achievement. I'm gonna give the time trials a go now...

I didn't get the Sunspot Cup the first time so I stopped and tried it later on again and it still didn't appear. Yet it was added later on when I logged in again :)

Darkhawk, were you playing on 'standard' difficulty? If not, that would explain it (and also why it wasn't particularly challenging). What message did you get at the top of the awards screen?

Incidentally, the real challenge is in getting on the timetrial leaderboards. Even the standard cups arn't meant to be particularly difficult.

Finally, you won't stick to walls if you don't hold yourself to them - simply release the thrust button and you'll bounce off.

Making a harder mode is much more tricky. Okay, I could start you a bit further back, and max out the opponents acceleration, but that just doesn't make it hard enough to be worth it. Or I could make them cheat - but I'm not going to, that always pisses me off in games.
Rewriting the AI is a whole other deal - I was glad to get them to race as well as they do.
