Hi. Yes you're right, it comes from the icelandic word. Skissa was originally just created for the Iceland, but as I scaled it up I wanted to keep the original name :)

Does Skissa's name come from
the icelandic word skissa(sketch)(cause of the sketching) and from the finnish word kissa
(cat)(cause of the cat logo thingy)

New Skissa is coming soon! Stay tuned :-) It'll solve all the issues and be awesome in the power of ten.

Could you fix skissa? it is a great game and i would LOVE it if it got fixed. can you shoot me a message @ my nonoba account saying what is wrong with with it, and how long you think until it is fixed? thanks!
